Transparency

Our mantra is as per the introduction, “We can only procure what we can prove” and this has served us and our clients well in our approach.

Providing clarity of information based upon fact and consensus and not assumption is a core element of our approach.

We never take risks or leave recommendation to chance or conduct in actions which may open our clients for ourselves to financial or legal reproach.

Process

Our processes are open and transparent however we also closely align to those of our customers and importantly their governance structure. Our evaluation methodology is our own however ensure that those models are embedded into every engagement and left with our clients as a future reference point.

As a member of the Chartered institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS), we ensure that we remain up to date with ongoing legislation both within the United Kingdom and Europe and continue to support procurement activities across multiple territories.

Objectivity

It’s important to remember the reason for negotiation and the outcome that is required.  We approach each negotiation by understanding each side and the limits to which this should be conducted.  Without these limits set, it is not possible to see the boundaries and the approach likely to fail.

We establish clear rules, build relationships and ensure that all stakeholders remain informed and the end objective is constantly reviewed.

Tact

Our aim is to complete negotiations quickly and to leave existing business relationships in tact. We understand that the aim of a business is not to engage in ongoing discussions that can be damaging and therefore we establish clear boundaries and respect them.

Our approach respects the needs of all parties but clearly focusses on what is required to be achieved. We work closely with all parties to reach a common objective and ensure that a handover between business owners is undertaken before completion.

Results

Stakeholder management and briefings to senior teams are an important part in reporting results.  We factor in regular concise updates and appraise stakeholders of likely issues or red lines in order that decisions can be made.

Our success is often measured by the results we bring and we are happy to be bound by those arrangements. 

The results of our negotiations be those monetary or otherwise, always rest with our clients and we never seek to offset an element of our fee with what should rightly remain with our clients.By taking this approach, we never blur the lines between client and supplier.
